AceReader Helps You Read Web Pages, E-Mail and Documents Faster!

StepWare has released version 4.0 of AceReader, a productivity and education program that increases your reading speed. Designed for students and business executives, AceReader can both help you to read faster and help you learn to read faster, on and off the computer.

AceReader version 4.0 is a major update. By popular demand, this version now has multi-line display modes. It comes with more than double the reading/comprehension tests that were available with previous versions (now over 200 tests broken out by grade levels). This version also has a new speed algorithm implemented, which means that the speed will auto-adjust depending on how much text is displayed. Other new features include: Ability to set margins and text widths, you can now save your clipboard to files, the File menu now remembers the last 5 files loaded, you can now select from list of preconfigured productivity and educational option settings, and now all options are auto-saved when program exits.

Using AceReader's Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) mode, words are displayed in the center of the text area. RSVP can be used to read faster than normal because your eyes do not need to move. In RSVP mode, the words come to your eyes instead of your eyes going to the words. When AceReader is in Tachistoscopic Scroll Presentation mode, the reader's eyes move just like they do in normal reading, allowing users to train themselves to read at higher speeds, whether reading from a monitor or from paper. AceReader's RSVP mode lets you read faster while you're on the computer, and the Tachistoscopic mode trains you to read faster, on and off the computer.

AceReader lets you read text from your hard drive, the Windows clipboard or from the Internet. As your reading speed increases, you can track your progress by taking the reading/comprehension tests that are broken out by grade levels.

AceReader can help people with vision impairments or mobility problems by allowing them to read without moving their heads or eyes. They can even adjust the text font and background colors to make reading easier. Whether you're studying for a test or preparing a business presentation, AceReader is ideal for memorizing important facts and figures. Using the Burst Forward, Back and Repeat features, you can rapidly reread and memorize text. You can use AceReader to create Flash Cards to accomplish goals as diverse as programming your subconscious with positive suggestions or learning a foreign language.

AceReader runs under Windows 95, 98 and NT, and will run under Windows 3.x with WIN32S installed. AceReader costs $24.95, with teacher, student and quantity discounts available.
