Human beings have long used psychological tricks and techniques of persuasion in order to get what they want from one another. This is a fascinating website that delves into the real potential we all have to 'change' one another's mind. You will find a wealth of articles, theories and practical exercises for persuading others to do what you want. Politicians, Salesmen, Advertising execs as well as those suffering from unrequited love will all find intelligent if not potentially morally challenging tips on changing minds. Get your daily dose of political satire courtesy of the talented and hilarious Andy Borowitz. In addition to writing this cult online newsletter entitled The Borowitz Report, Andy regularly appears on CNN's "American Morning" and NPR's "Weekend Edition". Subscribe on the website and start your day with a good laugh at the expense of the wild world of politics. First-timers to the Borowitz Report will enjoy the archive of past articles, while long-time fans can check out links to his fan club and find out about upcoming television appearances. Don't miss the article on Dick Cheney's "unorthodox" smear campaign against John Kerry. Degree Confluence Project When receiving directions, most of us are accustomed to using intersecting streets as a guide. "It's on the corner of State and Main, or it's between Avenue A and B on 10th Street." But what's on the corner of 50 degrees north latitude and 5 degrees east longitude? Curious? Well so were the creators of the Degree Confluence Project. Founded as a grassroots effort to document the real places where the imaginary latitude and longitude coordinates are said to exist, the Project intends to collect photographs and the stories of each degree intersection in the world. The site contains over 400 official confluences, with 11,650 still to be found.
